"Who's Mr. Blackwell?" asked Beyonce Knowles of Destiny's Child when she learned that she was on his worst-dressed list.
Beyonce was at the American Music Awards wearing a suede minidress that Pocahontas would love. Her mother designed it -- Beyonce's mom, not Pocahontas'.
Once Beyonce learned about the list, she said, "Tell him thank you."
Mr. Blackwell needs to remember that women on television and in musical groups wear clothes as a costume. Their goal is not to look like the ladies who lunch.
He put Anne Robinson, the grouchy woman who is the host of TV's "Weakest Link," on his list. Actually, her clothes are designer garments, and everything fits and drapes beautifully. It's all black, yes, but for a good reason. It matches the wearer's mood.
Imagine what she would say to the fashion critic.
