Advice for teens:
Keep your identity private.
Never get together in person with someone you meet online.
Never respond to hostile, belligerent or inappropriate e-mail, chat comments or news group messages or any such communications that make you uncomfortable.
Talk with your parents about their expectations and ground rules for going online.
Advice for parents:
Talk with your teens about what they may and may not do online.
Be open with your teens and encourage them to come to you if they encounter a problem online.
Learn everything you can about the Internet.
Check out blocking, filtering and ratings.
