Carr's 31 leadsMohawk win
CENTER TOWNSHIP, Pa. -- Shawn Carr scored a season-high 31 points and added 15 rebounds Saturday night as the Mohawk High boys basketball team defeated Ambridge 65-56 in the second round of the CJ Betters Tournament.
In other Pennsylvania action Saturday, Hickory defeated Cochranton, 59-46.
Nick Mastrian scored 10 points and added five assists and four steals to earn the MVP award as the Hornets won the Cochranton Holiday Tournament.
Bethany winstournament
STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. -- Senior guard Mike Majzun of Youngstown scored 31 points to lead four scorers in double figures as the Bethany College men's basketball team (5-6) won the College of Staten Island Tournament Sunday with an 89-83 victory over Kings Point (6-3).
The win was Bethany's third in a row and their fifth in the last six games following a 0-5 start in Coach Aaron Huffman's first season.
In scoring the second-highest total of his career, Majzun went 8-13 from the floor and a perfect 12-12 from the charity stripe.
The Bison are off until Saturday when they will host LaRoche (Pa.) College at Hummel Field House. Tip-off is set for 2 p.m.

Browns', Steelers'opponents set
The Cleveland Browns and Pittsburgh Steelers now know who they will play in 2003.
The Browns will have home games against Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Oakland, San Diego, Arizona, St. Louis and Indianapolis.
Their road trips will be to Baltimore, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh, Denver, Kansas City, San Francisco, Seattle and New England.
The Steelers will play Baltimore, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Oakland, San Diego, Arizona, St. Louis and Tennessee at Heinz Field.

CHAMPAIGN, Ill. -- The Dallas Cowboys or any other team wishing to talk to Bill Parcells about a coaching job must first get permission from Tampa Bay, the Buccaneers said.
Parcells, who last January decided not to take the Bucs' job, has talked recently with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones.
The NFL said it would look into the matter today.

INDIANAPOLIS -- For eight years, Tom Coughlin had a hand in every decision the Jacksonville Jaguars made. On Sunday, it was clear he was no longer in charge.
The Jaguars coach, who has been rumored to be on his way out, said he expected to talk Monday with owner Wayne Weaver.
ESPN.com reported Sunday that Coughlin would be fired and that former NFL coach Dennis Green, LSU coach Nick Saban and Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops were possible replacements.

LANDOVER, Md. -- Darrell Green did farewell laps before and after the game. The second one latest 55 minutes, and he cried both times.
Green retired Sunday after 20 seasons with the Washington Redskins, leaving behind a legacy of perseverance and community service. He and Jackie Slater are the only two players in NFL history to play with one team for two decades.
McGee againmisses playoffs
LANDOVER, Md. -- Dallas Cowboys tight end Tony McGee played in his 152nd game without a playoff appearance, the longest active streak in the NFL.
McGee passed former quarterback Archie Manning for 26th place on the career list. Kicker Sam Baker, who played in the 1950s and 1960s, holds the record of 195 games.
