LIMELIGHT Awards, achievements



GIRARD -- The National Electrical Contractors Association has elected Rex Ferry of Girard its vice president for District Two, which encompasses Delaware, Maryland, Kentucky, Ohio and Pennsylvania. One of 10 active district vice presidents and a member of NECA's executive committee, he has also been active with the group's Penn-Ohio chapter. Ferry has been president and owner of Valley Electrical Consolidated since 1990 and employs between 50 and 80 electricians and 22 in-house staffers.
CANFIELD -- The Ohio Career Education Association named Eileen Bodendorfer of Poland its Outstanding Community Leader, an award presented annually to a community leader who has provided exemplary support for career development in Ohio. Bodendorfer is director of the Industrial Information Institute for Education and is a member of the CEA board of trustees. She has a bachelor's degree in special education from the University of Akron and a master's degree in education from Boston College.
YOUNGSTOWN -- Flonnoya J. Franklin of Youngstown, an investment representative in the Belmont Avenue office of Edward Jones in Youngstown, has been named to the All-American Team of The American Funds Group of mutual funds. The designation recognizes outstanding service, financial expertise and dedication to principles of sound mutual-fund investing.
