AUXILIARIES
XEagles Auxiliary 213 will meet at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 8 at the aerie on South Avenue. The last reading of the bylaws will take place. The next meeting is set for 7:30 p.m. Jan. 15.
XFlora MacDonald Auxiliary 58 will meet for dessert at 1 p.m. Jan. 4 at the home of Madeline Shanks. A business meeting will be followed by a program on Robert Burns given by Jeannette Van Brocklin.
CLUBS
XPenn-Ohio Chapter of the American Needlepoint Guild will meet at 10 a.m. Jan. 4 at New Castle Public Library, 207 E. North St., New Castle, Pa. The group will begin work on a project titled "The Emma Louise Sempler for Beginning Stitchers." Anyone interested in needlepoint is welcome.
XYoungstown After 5 will present a "New Beginnings" program from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Jan. 13 at Theodore's Banquet Centre, Mineral Ridge. The speaker will be Eleanor Daum, music will be presented by Jennifer Daniels and a special feature will be John's Carpet Cleaning. XGirard Men's Democrat Club will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the Parkwood Youth Center, Trumbull Ave.

XD.A.R.E. will attend a movie at Movies 8, Shops in the Park, Boardman at 6:30 p.m. today; attend a dance at the Avalon Inn in Howland at 7 p.m. Sunday; and hold a new members meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Boardman Christian Church, Route 224, Boardman.
XOriginal Christian Singles will meet at 6 p.m. Jan. 6 at Glenwood Methodist Church, 7872 Glenwood Ave., Boardman. The theme will be "Remember the Past Christmas." There will be a pizza party, and those attending are asked to take a salad. For information call (330) 755-4680 or (330) 726-3315.
