Test date set for pesticide license exam
CANFIELD -- The Ohio Department of Agriculture will administer a pesticide applicator license examination at 10 a.m. Feb. 19 at the Mahoning County Career and Technical Center on North Palmyra Road in Canfield. The exam is free, but prospective test takers must register by calling (800) 282-1955. For study materials or for information about the pesticide license requirement contact the Ohio State University Extension Service, Mahoning County office, on South Broad Street in Canfield.

More Americans lose health insurance
The number of Americans without health insurance rose to 41.2 million last year, according to the Census Bureau, an increase of 1.4 million. Small businesses that stopped offering health benefits to their employees accounted for much of the erosion in coverage.
