No. 3 Connecticut 82, St. Joseph's 48
HARTFORD, Conn. -- Diana Taurasi and freshman Barbara Turner scored 17 points apiece to lead Connecticut to its 48th straight victory. Turner set a career best in scoring and tied her best for rebounds, eight. The Huskies (9-0) outscored the Hawks 32-16 in the paint. Ashley Battle led the national champions with 11 rebounds. The Hawks (3-5) are 0-3 against ranked teams season, after also losing to top-ranked Duke and Penn State.
No. 8 Vanderbilt 101, Tenn.-Martin 77
MARTIN, Tenn. -- Ashley McElhiney nearly had a double-double by halftime, then finished with 15 points and 13 assists to lead Vanderbilt over Tennessee-Martin. McElhiney had 11 points and nine assists, including the one that gave her the career mark at the school, as the Commodores (7-1) took a 60-31 halftime lead. Tennessee-Martin (3-6) was playing its second game in as many days, following a triple-overtime victory against North Carolina-Asheville.
No. 11 Minnesota 69, Northern Iowa 62
CEDAR FALLS, Iowa -- Lindsay Whalen scored 27 points to lead Minnesota over Northern Iowa. Whalen scored seven points during a 14-5 run that gave Minnesota (9-0) a 29-27 lead at halftime. Katie Miller led Northern Iowa (4-4) with 23 points.
DePaul 64, No. 21 Geo. Washington 46
CHICAGO -- Khara Smith had 13 points and 10 rebounds as DePaul defeated George Washington. Sarah Kustok and Jenni Dant both scored 13 points and Ashley Luke added 12 for DePaul (9-3). George Washington (4-3) was led by Cathy Joens' 12 points.
No. 23 Arizona 101, UNLV 73
LAS VEGAS -- Dee-Dee Wheeler scored 19 points and Shawntinice Polk added 18 points and 17 rebounds to lead Arizona past UNLV. Julie Brase scored 16 points, Krista Warren had 14 points and 10 rebounds, and Aimee Grzyb added 13 points and 10 rebounds for the Wildcats (6-2). Constance Jinks led UNLV (6-3) with 30 points.
