Writer calls outto Penguins' fans
Fanfare:
I want to call out everyone in Youngstown who calls themselves a true Youngstown State sports fan.
I just saw an interesting statistic in which YSU was in the top five once again in attendance in NCAA Div. I-AA football. I would say out of all those fans, there are only 2,000 die-hard YSU fans, the ones who help cheer on the Youngstown State University basketball team to victory.
This young team that coach John Robic and his talented coaching staff has assembled is young, athletic and worth the cheap price of admission.
I take advantage of being a student and use my student ID to get in for free. However, I would be willing to pay.
So get off the couch and pack the Beeghly Center. Just don't wait for the big games like Butler and the Valparaiso games of the past. Every league game in the Horizon is big. Go Penguins.
