The shooting of a Sharon man is the focus of Mercer County Crime Solvers this week:
Crime: Attempted homicide and aggravated assault.
Location: Sharon.
Details: Police said a man wielding a handgun fired a shot that struck Wade Massey, 30, in the upper shoulder as he stood in the doorway of his home at 497 Davis St. around 5 p.m. Dec. 13. Massey told police he heard a knock at the door, opened it and had a brief conversation with the man before he was shot. He said he didn't know the gunman, who fled the scene in a light-colored minivan.
Description: The gunman was described as a black man about 6 feet tall and weighing between 220 and 240 pounds. He had a mustache and was wearing a black ski jacket with orange stripes down the arms, baggy blue jeans and a dark stocking cap.
