The Youth Coaches Clinic -- will take place Jan. 17-18 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Columbus. Registration for youth coaches begins at 5 p.m. Jan. 17. Pre-registration cost is $20 per coach. Walk-up registration is $30 on that Friday and $10 on Saturday morning. The Hiram College baseball program -- will conduct its annual hitting school throughout January and February, running Jan. 18, Jan. 25, Feb. 1 and Feb. 8. Cost of the school, which is open to students age 8-17, is $75. Canfield -- will host a fifth- and sixth-grade girls basketball program open to area schools for four Sundays at the Canfield Village Middle School. Girard KofC 2935 -- will sponsor a youth free throw contest for all boys and girls ages 10-14 at St. Rose gym Jan. 4. Forms can be picked up at the school rectory.
FLAG FOOTBALL

Thunderdome Fastpitch Softball Clinic -- will be held Dec. 26-27 from noon to 4 p.m. Cost is $35 and includes a T-shirt. All ages are invited and to register call (330) 448-0055.

The Boardman Tennis Center -- will be holding several leagues this winter as well as a holiday event. There will be an adult holiday tournament on Dec. 28. An adult winter team tennis league will run from January through March, and the Youngstown Davis Cup League will run from January through March, as well. TOUGHMAN CONTEST
The Warren/Youngstown -- Original Toughman Contest World Championship Series is accepting applications. The contest will be held on Jan. 17-18 at Packard Music Hall in Warren. Doors will open at 7 p.m., with the event beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets are $16 for general admission upper-level seating and $25 for reserved ringside seating.
