STORRS, Conn. -- Diana Taurasi had 26 points and 10 rebounds as third-ranked Connecticut beat Pepperdine for its 47th consecutive victory. The Huskies (8-0), the defending national champions, were 39-0 last season. The victory also gave UConn the second-longest streak in NCAA history. Louisiana Tech won 54 in a row from 1980-82. The Green Wave (5-4) could do little to stop Taurasi from the opening tip. She scored easily from the perimeter and baseline, and was 3-for-3 from the foul line. The junior guard scored 14 straight points in a 23-8 run to open the game, and capped the spurt with back-to-back 3-pointers.
No. 7 Kansas St. 92,Western Michigan 75
MANHATTAN, Kan. -- Megan Mahoney had 20 points and five assists, and teamed with Kendra Wecker to lead seventh-ranked Kansas State's decisive second-half run. Kansas State (10-1) tied a school record with 15 3-pointers while winning its eighth straight home game this season. The Wildcats set the 3-point record in 2000, also against Western Michigan. Western Michigan (4-3), which got 23 points from Kristin Koetsier, trimmed a growing deficit to eight points with 14:39 left. But Mahoney -- 4-for-5 from beyond the arc -- and Wecker scored five points apiece in a 10-0 run that made it 63-45 with 11:49 remaining. Wecker added nine assists. Wecker finished with 16 points as did Nicole Ohlde, who also had 12 rebounds.
No. 9 Texas Tech 66, Tennessee-Chattanooga 53
HONOLULU -- Plenette Pierson scored 10 of her 17 points in the second half as ninth-ranked Texas Tech drew away and beat stubborn Tennessee-Chattanooga. It was the lowest offensive output this season for the Lady Raiders (6-1), who led only 36-34 at halftime. Nneka Irons led Chattanooga (6-2) with 12 points, but scored just two in the final 30 minutes. Jia Perkins and Natalie Ritchie added 10 points each for Texas Tech, and Cisti Greenwalt had six blocks.

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Doceide Warren came off the bench to score 15 points and grab seven rebounds in 14th-ranked Bulldogs' rout of Central Florida. Warren was one of four Bulldogs who scored in double figures as Mississippi State (8-1) won its sixth straight game and fifth straight on the road. The blowout victory included a 28-0 run in the second half. LaToya Thomas scored 13 points while White and Seneca Anderson each had 12 points for Mississippi State.
George Mason 63No. 21 George Washington 57
WASHINGTON -- Vernessa Neamo scored 19 points, and George Mason took advantage of turnovers to upset George Washington. George Mason forced 24 turnovers, converting them into 22 points. The Patriots also hit 13 of 22 free throws. Neamo hit seven of 11 shots and went 4-for-6 from the line for the Patriots (3-2). Jen Derevjnik added 16 points for George Mason. Ugo Oha, who played only 11 minutes of the first half because of foul trouble, led George Washington (4-2) with 14 points.
