YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Lois Margaret Nora, M.D., J.D., president and dean of the Northeastern Ohio Universities College of Medicine (NEOUCOM), gave the keynote speech at Youngstown State University's fall commencement Sunday, discussing how one person can make a difference.

Nora was appointed president and dean at NEOUCOM in October 2002. Before that, she served as associate dean for academic affairs and administration and as a professor of neurology at the University of Kentucky College of Medicine, Lexington, as well as a professor of law. She began her tenure at that university in 1994 as an attending physician.
