Summary of police activity in Girard, Liberty and Hubbard:
GIRARD
Dec. 13
Threats: A Gordon Street man reported that another man threatened to harm him while the two were at Amen Corner, 408 S. State St.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone broke a basement window trying to break into a residence in the 200 block of East Howard Street.
Threats: An East Second Street man reported that a boy called his residence threatening to kill him and his son.
Attempted breaking and entering: A man called police after he checked his brother's residence in the 200 block of Moser Road and discovered broken glass inside a doorway.
Dec. 14
Burglary: Someone entered a residence in the 400 block of East Kline Street and removed a stereo and two speakers.
Dec. 15
Vandalism: A man reported that someone broke both outside mirrors on his vehicle while it was parked on Park Avenue.
Arrest: After several Ward Street residents called police to report a man screaming, an 18-year-old Youngstown man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct and resisting arrest. Police allege he threatened them when they confronted him after smelling alcohol on his breath.
Breaking and entering: Someone broke into Faith Center of World Ministries, 29 W. Liberty St., and stole an electric guitar and keyboard.

Threats: A woman in the 1000 block of Patricia Drive reported that her former boyfriend threatened to kill her after he called and the two argued about child support.
Attempted breaking and entering: Someone removed a vent covering and kicked in a basement window trying to break into Cafe Olgun restaurant, 9 W. Liberty St.

Dec. 10
Theft, criminal damaging: Someone broke a vehicle's rear vent window while it was parked at Giant Eagle, 4700 Belmont Ave., and stole an AM-FM compact disc player and 30 CDs.
Identity theft: After a man in the 1000 block of Chrysann Drive reported his wallet stolen, the victim said his bank informed him someone was trying to use his personal information to fraudulently transfer money from his account.
Theft, criminal damaging: An AM-FM CD player was removed from a car in the 1700 block of Naylor-Lloyd Road. Also, a woman reported that her vehicle's rear passenger-side vent window was shattered.
Dec. 11
Criminal damaging: An employee at Burger King reported that someone slashed one of her vehicle's rear tires.
Attempted burglary: A man in the 6700 block of Sodom-Hutchings Road discovered a rear door to his residence kicked in.
Dec. 13
Criminal damaging: A Youngstown man reported that someone tossed a rock at his vehicle and broke its driver's-side window as he drove on state Route 193.
Forgery, warrant: Police arrested a 63-year-old Youngstown woman on one count each of forgery and receiving stolen property after an employee at Home Savings & amp; Loan Co., 3500 Belmont Ave., alleged the woman cashed two stolen checks totaling $1,140. She also was wanted on a traffic warrant.
Warrant: After investigating a domestic argument in the 3100 block of Hadley Avenue, police arrested a 32-year-old Youngstown man on a count of failure to appear in court to answer a charge of unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
Theft, criminal damaging: Someone pried open a vehicle's door handles and stole two speakers while it was parked in the 1900 block of Tibbetts-Wick Road.
Criminal damaging: An employee at RFI Closeout, 3227 Belmont Ave., reported that someone damaged a door to the business.
Theft: A man stole six cartons of cigarettes from Smokes for Less, 4001 Belmont Ave.
Dec. 14
Burglary: Someone broke into and ransacked a residence in the 1600 block of Wilson Avenue and stole two .22-caliber revolvers from a drawer.
Arrest: After responding to a report of a man asleep behind his vehicle's wheel, police arrested a 41-year-old Girard man at Belmont and Trumbull avenues on a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol. He also was charged with resisting arrest after police say he tried to flee in his car and hit a police vehicle.
Theft: Police arrested two Youngstown boys, ages 14 and 15; three Girard boys, one age 15 and two age 16; and two Hubbard boys, ages 15 and 16. They were charged with theft after 75 cola bottles were stolen from a damaged vending machine at Little Leopards football field, 317 Church Hill-Hubbard Road.
Dec. 15
Forgery: A 27-year-old Youngstown man and a 26-year-old Youngstown woman were arrested on a forgery charge after a Giant Eagle employee alleged the pair attempted to cash a photocopied check at the service center.
Warrant: A 42-year-old Youngstown woman was arrested at a BP gas station, 2735 Belmont Ave., and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
Criminal damaging, theft: Someone broke a vehicle's driver's-side window and stole a stereo system while it was parked in the 100 block of East Liberty Street.
Dec. 16
Arrest: After conducting a traffic stop, a 26-year-old Youngstown man was arrested on a charge of driving under a suspended license. He also was charged with providing false information to a police officer after police say he gave them a false Social Security number and name. He was issued four traffic summons.
Arrest: While conducting an investigation at the Tallyho-tel, 4249 Belmont Ave., police arrested a 43-year-old Cleveland man on a charge of breaking and entering after determining he was in a room illegally. He also was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia after police found a suspected crack pipe in his pants pocket. He was wanted on a warrant from Cuyahoga County charging him with probation violation and on a warrant from Lake County.
Warrant: After running a vehicle registration check, police arrested a 29-year-old Youngstown man on a theft charge. He also was charged with driving under a suspended license after he was alleged to be under 11 license suspensions.
Arrest: After pulling over a vehicle on an Interstate 80 on-ramp, police arrested a 37-year-old Binghamton, N.Y., man on an outstanding warrant from Niles. He also was wanted on charges of probation violation and failure to appear in court on a charge of passing bad checks.
Auto theft: After a woman chased a man attempting to break into her residence in the 1500 block of Edwards Street, she reported that he fled in her husband's 1988 Ford Bronco.
HUBBARD
Dec. 10
Auto theft: A woman reported her daughter's 1983 Olds Cutlass stolen from a parking lot at Dollar General discount store, 884 W. Liberty St.
Criminal damaging: A vehicle was damaged while parked at Bell Wick Bowl, 6105 W. Liberty St.
Dec. 13
Theft: A man reported that someone removed his vehicle's rear bumper while he was at Hubbard High School, 350 Hall Ave.
Dec. 14
Assault: A woman reported being assaulted while she was at Hubbard Manor, 105 W. Liberty St.
Dec. 16
Criminal damaging: An employee at Hearn Motors, 111 Youngstown-Hubbard Road, reported that someone attempted to steal a vehicle and that its steering column was damaged.
