Weigner was injured in the 100 block of Benita Avenue about 8:30 p.m. Monday, reports show. One witness said Weigner was stabbed by the sister of a boy he'd been fighting with and another witness said Weigner was cut by glass while rolling on the ground during the fight.

Wrong man jailed
YOUNGSTOWN -- Liberty police arrested Terry R. Marks on a Youngstown warrant Monday night and turned him over to Youngstown police.
City police took Marks to the Mahoning County jail. The booking officer, after checking the warrant and arrest report, realized the wrong Terry Marks was in custody. The date of birth and Social Security number didn't jibe. The warrant is actually for Terry D. Marks, reports show.
Both men share similar characteristics, such as blond hair and blue eyes.
Terry R. Marks was released from the jail and the warrant for Terry D. Marks was reactivated in the computer.
Driver loses freedom
YOUNGSTOWN -- Anthony Direnzo, 34, of Richland Avenue will wait in jail instead of at home for a Jan. 24 sentencing.
Direnzo had been free on bond after pleading guilty Nov. 21 in Mahoning County Common Pleas Court to vehicular assault and leaving the scene of an accident.
Jay Macejko, an assistant prosecutor, filed a motion last week asking that Direnzo's bond be revoked after receiving reports that Direnzo went on a crime spree after the plea.
Among other things, Direnzo is accused of stealing a 28-foot ladder from his neighbor, stealing items from his mother and selling them to get drug money and breaking car windows in the parking lot of Domino's Lounge.
Judge James C. Evans Evans revoked Direnzo's bond and ordered him held in the county jail until sentencing.
Direnzo was the driver of a car that hit 16-year-old James Hayes of Samuel Avenue, who was walking along Indianola Avenue in September.
