2 from area receive JOG awards



COLUMBUS -- Local residents Roseanna Nock and Rebekah Limbeck attended a dinner ceremony Dec. 10 in Columbus where they were presented the Jobs for Ohio's Graduates Chairman's Award. The award recognizes students for their growth, improvement and commitment to achieving success.
Nock, a 2002 graduate of the Mahoning County Educational Service Center's Education Resource Center at Southern Park Mall, was nominated by her job specialist, John Lattanzi. She completed the center's program while working full-time as a McDonald's manager and part-time cleaning person. She is now a secretary-receptionist at an area vending company.
Limbeck was nominated by her job specialist, Melicia White, and is a senior at Warren city schools' Washington Center Alternative High School. She serves as chairwoman of the Leadership Development Committee and designs leadership opportunities for the Ohio Professional Association.
