ERIE, Pa. -- After delaying a shutdown for six years, Erie has lost another manufacturer to an out-of-town company that decided to close it down.
Dayton, Ohio-based DT Industries Inc. announced it would shutter the former Assembly Machine Inc. plant by February and merge it with a plant in Buffalo Grove, Ill., leaving 50 people jobless. In the past two years alone, former Erie companies such as Erie Malleable Iron, Copes-Vulcan and Hammermill Paper Co. have vanished.
Delta adding flightsto Cincinnati airport
HEBRON, Ky. -- Delta Air Lines said it plans to add flights and destinations to its second-largest hub as part of a new strategy to make the money-losing operation profitable. Delta operates 537 departures at the Cincinnati-Northern Kentucky International Airport.
