YOUNGSTOWN STATE UNIVERSITY Harding's boys, Canfield girls win swim meets
YOUNGSTOWN -- Warren Harding High's boys team and the Canfield girls team won quadrangular swim meets at the Youngstown State Natatorium Saturday.
Warren Harding's boys scored 148 points to edge Boardman (146). Canfield scored 138 points and Kent Roosevelt finished with 93.
Nate and Tyler King led Warren Harding.
Nate King broke a school record in the 500-yard freestyle (4:45.69). He had four firsts, also winning the 200 individual medley and 500 free, and combining with Tyler King, Ed Angelo and Eric Esposito to win the 200 and 400 free relays.
Tyler King also had first place finishes in the 200 free and 100 back.
Girls
Canfield won the girls events with 206 points, followed by Kent Roosevelt (156), Boardman (129) and Warren Harding (58).
Leading the way for the Canfield Girls was Meghan and Ashley Linnelli, each winning four events.
Meghan Linnelli placed first in the 50 free, 100 back, 200 free relay and 400 free relay.
Ashley Linnelli captured first place in the 200 I.M., 100 fly, 200 medley relay and 200 free relay.
