Santa to arrive in Niles
NILES -- The city Christmas tree will be lighted at 6:30 p.m. Monday in front of the fire station.
Santa will arrive by firetruck at 7 p.m.
The event, sponsored by the Niles Lions Club, will include holiday songs and refreshments.
Liberty officials plana holiday gathering
LIBERTY -- A township holiday gathering is scheduled from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. Saturday at the township administration building.
Santa will arrive by firetruck at 4:30 p.m. and the police department will have an open house.
The event will include holiday music and refreshments.
Photographs with Santa are $3 and carriage rides are $3 per family.
Hubbard schedulestree lighting, parade
HUBBARD -- Two holiday events are scheduled for the city.
The holiday tree lighting will be at 7 p.m. Saturday at CVS Pharmacy at state Routes 304 and 7/62. There will be refreshments and caroling.
Santa's parade will be at 3 p.m. Sunday. The route will be from Hall Avenue, west on Liberty Street to School Street, ending at Roosevelt School.
Santa will be at the city administration building directly after the parade. Refreshments will be served. Photographs with Santa are $3 each.
Police auxiliary, Rotarywill host Santa Claus
CHAMPION -- The police auxiliary and the Champion Rotary Club are hosting Santa Claus at the historical schoolhouse in the township hall at 149 Center St. East.
Santa will arrive at 6 p.m. Saturday to light the community Christmas tree, then visit with children until 7:30 p.m.
Refreshments will be provided by the Salvation Army Canteen. Photos with Santa will be available for $2 each.

Food sale's proceedsbenefit church festival
GIRARD -- Proceeds from a holiday food sale will benefit the St. Rose Church Parish Festival.
Advance orders for stuffed cabbage with sauce, pirogis with peppers and onion and homemade fresh or frozen Italian wedding soup will be available for pickup in the lower church Dec. 8 from 10:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Selling spaghetti sauce
GIRARD -- The St. Rose Church Ladies of Mount Carmel will be selling homemade spaghetti sauce at $5 a quart for pick-up Dec. 15, 2002 from 9 to 11 a.m. in the lower church.
