Inventors, take noteof how to make money
BOARDMAN -- Richard Theiss, vice president of Theiss Aviation of Sebring, will speak on starting a business and obtaining government contracts at the Tuesday meeting of the Youngstown & amp; Warren Inventors Association.
The meeting, which is open to the public and free of charge, will be at 7 p.m. at the Boardman Township administration building.
Businesses can learnhow to prohibit crime
HUBBARD -- At noon Sept. 18 at The Globe Restaurant, the Hubbard Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a luncheon meeting on how businesses can protect themselves from crime.
Township and city police officers will speak. Cost is $8 for chambers and $10 for others.
Reservations must be made by Sept. 13.
Cement mason programaccepting apprentices
VIENNA -- The Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana Counties Cement Masons and Plasterers Joint Apprenticeship Program will accept applications for cement mason apprentices at the office of the Builders Association of Eastern Ohio & amp; Western Pennsylvania, 1372 Youngstown-Kingsville Road.
Applications will be accepted from 9 to 11 a.m. and 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. Sept. 30 through Oct. 4 and Oct. 7 and from 9 to 11 a.m. Oct. 5.
