HUBBARD -- The engagement of Jacquelyn Wires and Christopher Walker, both of 3553 Liberty Drive, is being announced by the future groom's parents, Debbie and Richard Bobovecz, 6262 Youngstown-Hubbard Road.
The bride-elect is a daughter of Robert Jr. and Linda Wires, 530 JoAnn Drive, Conneaut. The prospective groom also is a son of the late Rodney Walker.
A registered nurse at Forum Health North Side Medical Center, Youngstown, Miss Wires earned an associate degree in nursing at Kent State University Ashtabula Campus.
Mr. Walker is pursuing a bachelor's degree in accounting at Youngstown State University. He is employed as a laborer with Hubbard Township Road Department.
Plans are being made for an open-church ceremony to be held at 4 p.m. Oct. 12 at Central Christian Church. Invitations will be issued for an evening reception at McMenamy's in Niles.
