U A Canfield youth football coach involved in an altercation Monday in Canfield does not coach for Canfield Village Middle School. He coaches a community team. The altercation occurred at the middle school.
U There are programs that provide drug and alcohol counseling in Lawrence County that do not contract with the county drug and alcohol commission. Among those organizations is People in Need, South Mercer Street, New Castle. A story in some Sunday editions dealing with Pennsylvania state-funded agencies that provide drug and alcohol counseling gave the impression that there were just three agencies in the county that offered those services.
U Melinda Knight, director of pro-life activities for the Catholic Diocese of Youngstown, is a former council president of Boardman Schools Parents' Association and a former secretary of the Junior League of Youngstown. Incorrect information provided by the diocese for an item in a story Saturday said she still had those positions.
