ART AUCTIONS
XMcDonough Museum, 410 Wick Ave., Youngstown, will hold an art auction Aug. 24 as a benefit for Ursuline Sisters HIV/AIDS Ministry and Children's Program. A preview is slated for 7 p.m. followed at 8 by the auction of items donated by local artists and children and sport items. Wine and hors d'oeuvres will be provide, and there will be valet parking. FESTIVALS
XSt. John Greek Orthodox Church, 4955 Glenwood Ave., Boardman, will hold Glendi 2002 from noon to 10 p.m. each day Friday through Sunday. Food will include lamb-on-the-spit, chicken dinners, gyros, and Greek pastries daily, with fish dinners on Friday. Also available will be a trash and treasure sale, Greek dancers, music for dancing and a drawing for $1,000. Parking and admittance are free.
XSt. Lucy Church, 394 Tenney Ave., Campbell, will hold its annual indoor "Festa Italiana" from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The event will feature traditional Italian foods, dancing, games and drawings. A religious procession is also planned to follow the 6 p.m. Assumption Day Mass Thursday. FLEA MARKETS
XGood Hope Lutheran Church, 12030 Market St., North Lima, will hold an ice cream social and flea market from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday.
FUND-RAISERS
XCamelot Arms Care Center, 2958 Canfield Road, Youngstown, will sponsor a rib burnoff from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Aug. 23. Proceeds from the fund-raiser will benefit Hospice of the Valley and the center residents. The event will include free food and entertainment. There will be a Chinese auction. XThe Way Station will sponsor an old-fashioned Victorian tea at 7 p.m. Friday at the Whispering Pines Retirement Center, Park Avenue, Columbiana. The event will include specialty teas, coffees, gourmet desserts and finger goods. Music, lawn games, an antique car show, strolling entertainment and a silent auction also will be featured. Tickets are $25 a person and $45 per couple, and are available at the Way Station office, 42131 State Route, Columbiana, at the door or by calling (330) 482-5072.
HEALTH EVENTS
XQuota International will sponsor a health event on breast cancer awareness at 5 p.m. Wednesday at McMenamy's in Niles and at 5 p.m. Thursday at the Holiday Inn, Boardman.
