ROAD WORK | This week

The Ohio Department of Transportation has announced the following traffic restrictions due to road construction:
Beginning Wednesday, state Route 45 on-ramp to state Routes 5 and 82 eastbound in Champion will be closed. Expected to reopen Aug. 1. Detour is state Route 45 to North River Road to Perkins-Jones Road.
U.S. Route 224 closed at Berlin Reservoir as the bridge over the reservoir is being replaced. New bridge expected to open in October. Detour is state Route 225 to Mahoning Avenue to state Route 534.
Eastbound I-76 bridge over Lake Milton closed. All traffic being crossed over to the westbound bridge, where one lane is open in each direction. Both bridges to be replaced. Completion expected by late fall.
I-80 from Belmont Avenue in Liberty to U.S. Route 62 in Hubbard reduced to one lane each direction, from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m. nightly, Monday through Friday, and throughout the weekends. Construction expected to last through this fall.
South Avenue in Boardman reduced to one lane each direction as it is widened from two to five lanes between Presidential Drive and Western Reserve Road. Completion expected by the summer 2003.
State Route 5 in Warren and Leavittsburg reduced to one lane in each direction between state Route 8 and U.S. Route 422 until further notice. Project completion expected in late fall 2003.
Driving lanes of state Routes 5 and 82 in Howland closed until further notice. One lane of traffic will be available in each direction and all entrance and exit ramps will remain open.
