Local Lions club offers scholarships

LORDSTOWN -- The Lordstown Lions Club is announcing three new scholarships that are available for the class of 2002.
Two $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to graduating seniors at Lordstown High School, and one $500 scholarship will be presented to a graduating senior at the Gordon D. James Career Center.
Applicants for the new Dennis Shonce Memorial Scholarship Fund will be evaluated on their volunteer and service contributions in school and the local community.
