HEALTH CARE
CINCINNATI -- Karen Bankston, a Youngstown native, has been named vice president of operations and chief operating officer at The University Hospital in Cincinnati. A registered nurse, Bankston joined the hospital in 1990 and until recently was vice president for patient care services and chief nursing officer.
She is also active in the University of Cincinnati College of Nursing and Health, where she has served as an associate dean of clinical services and a clinical assistant professor.
While living in the Youngstown area, she held various nursing and nurse manager positions at Western Reserve Care Systems.
She earned an associate degree in applied science at Youngstown State University and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in nursing from Kent State University.
PRINTING
WARREN -- Ron Reebel has been named vice president of operations for Superior Printing in Warren. Reebel joined the company as director of operations in August 2000 and is a 35-year veteran of the printing industry.
RETAIL
AUSTINTOWN -- David Durda, an Austintown native, has joined 84 Lumber as a manager trainee in its Austintown store. Durda is a 1988 graduate of Fitch High School and a 1995 graduate of Youngstown State University. He lives in Austintown.
