Cleaning day set
Wild Birds Unlimited in Boardman will hold a birdfeeder cleaning day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. April 20.
The store will pressure-wash and sanitize feeders for a $2 donation to the Audubon Society of Mahoning Valley.
The store is located on U.S. Route 224 about one block west of the Southern Park Mall. For more information, call the store at (330) 629-2473.

wolf week events
The Richard E. Flauto Wildlife Foundation will host several events as part of it's first wolf week event this month.
An accoustical music evening, poerty reading and wolf howling contest will be held April 17 at The Fireplace, 2075 E. Western Reserve Road in Poland.
A children's wolf educational and fun evening will be held April 18 from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Beard Cabin in Boardman Community Park.
Members of the foundation will also be at Earth Day activities from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Youngstown State University April 17

PFBC meeting April 28-29
The Pennsylvania Fish and Boat Commission will hold its spring quarterly meeting April 28-29 at the agency's headquarters, 1601 Elmerton Avenue in Harrisburg.
Commission committees will meet on April 28, beginning at 11 a.m. and April 29, beginning at 8 a.m. The formal agenda session will begin later that day at about 1:15 p.m.
All committee meetings and the review of the agenda are open to the public and attendance is encouraged. The tentative schedule for the meeting, as well as the full text of the commission agenda, is posted on the commission's web site www.fish.state.pa.us.
Among the items to be considered on the agenda is a proposal to consolidate two similar categories of special trout fishing regulations -- delayed harvest artificial lures (including flies) and delayed harvest fly fishing only -- into a single category. Currently, 77 stream sections are managed under the two related types of delayed harvest regulations. A total of 51 stream sections covering 85.85 miles allow anglers to use flies, spinners, crankbaits and other types of artificial lures. On 26 stream sections encompassing 45.4 miles, flies are the only type of artificial lures allowed. Baitfishing is prohibited at all delayed harvest areas.
