ANNUAL EVENT Historical society plans tea



Proceeds from the event will benefit the Austintown Historical Society.
AUSTINTOWN -- An annual high tea will be served by Austintown Historical Society April 27 and 28 at the Strock Stone House, 7171 Mahoning Ave.
The public is invited to participate in the event. Reservations are required for seatings to be held at 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. and 3:30. Free tours of the national historic landmark will be available after each seating.
The menu will include a variety of coffees and teas, finger sandwiches, scones, pastries. Decorations will feature antique teapots, cups and saucers from around the world.
As part of the festivities there will be a basket raffle each day. Each basket will include a teapot, teas, a tea towel and place mats. Raffle tickets are $1 each, five for $3, or 15 for $5. The winner does not have to be present during the drawing.
The cost for the tea is $10, and gift certificates will be available. All proceeds from the tea and raffle will benefit the historical society.
