Closed for road work
WEST MIDDLESEX, Pa. -- Sharon-Bedford Road in Shenango Township will be closed about 1 mile north of the Lawrence County line from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. Thursday for drainage work.
Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said local traffic will be allowed to use the road, but other motorists should use Fetsko, Wet Track and the Mercer-West Middlesex roads as detours around the work area.
Donation to food bank
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Pampered Chef national Round-up from the Heart corporate giving campaign has netted $3,900 for the Second Harvest Foodbank that serves Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties. This amount represents donations made through kitchen shows or in-home cooking demonstrations in Ohio. The Pampered Chef program donated $1 million to America's Second Harvest.
