NOTEBOOK From Browns Stadium

Thefts: The Browns' seven interceptions of Detroit quarterback Ty Detmer tied the team's record set in December 1960 against the Chicago Bears. Defensive back Anthony Henry had three pickoffs. He's the ninth Brown to have three pickoffs in a game. He also tied the Browns rookie record held by Bobby Franklin who played in that 1960 game against the Bears. Free safety Percy Ellsworth and linebacker Jamir Miller made their first interceptions since the Nov. 19 game last season against the Titans.
Rookie record: Browns running back James Jackson's 31 carries tied Jim Brown's rookie record for tries in a game. Brown did it on Nov. 24, 1957 against the Los Angeles Rams. Jackson is the Browns' first 100-yard rusher since Ernest Byner ran for 121 yards against Cincinnati on Dec. 17, 1995. Jackson's yardage was the most by a Browns back since Kevin Mack gained 133 yards on 27 carries against the Bengals on Dec. 13, 1987.
Tickets distributed: The Browns said 73,168 tickets were distributed for the game, a record for Cleveland Browns Stadium. The old mark was 73,138 in the stadium opener two years ago against the Steelers. The Browns did not announce how many of the tickets were used, but hundreds of seats were empty.
Three TDs by air: Quarterback Tim Couch now has two games with three touchdown passes. His first was on Oct. 31, 1999 in New Orleans when the Browns beat the Saints for their first expansion-year win. The expansion-era Browns also had three touchdown passes in the Dec. 12, 1999 game at Cincinnati when Couch threw two and Ty Detmer one.
