HOWLAND -- A honeymoon in Jamaica followed the wedding of Kendra Brown and Justin McKay, which took place at 2:30 p.m. Aug. 18 at Howland Community Church.
The Rev. Jerry Kruse presided, and a reception was held afterward at McMenamy's in Niles.
Parents of the bride are Kenneth and Avaneil Brown, 1511 West Park, Niles, and the groom's parents are Gordon and Ellen McKay, 1672 Reissing Road, McDonald.
Enhanced with embroidery and beading, the bride's A-line featured spaghetti straps.
Sage green gowns were worn by Kary Cottrell of Mineral Ridge, the honor attendant, and the bridesmaids, Lynn Schura of Kent, Jennifer Nalley of Virginia Beach, Va., and Kelly Kearney of Niles. Serving as flower girl was the groom's cousin, Victoria Avvenire of Woodbridge, Va.
John Montesano of Cecil, Pa., performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Ben Satyshur of Cleveland, John Timko of Mineral Ridge and the groom's brother, Matthew McKay of McDonald, Pa. Ring bearer was the bride's nephew, Joseph Rizk of Niles.
The bride graduated from Kent State University with a bachelor's degree in history. She is an underwriter with Allstate Insurance in Hudson.
The groom, a first officer with Continental Express, Cleveland, holds a bachelor's degree in flight technology from KSU.
The couple live at 4471-J Woodglen Drive, Kent.
