AUCTIONS
XA Chinese auction to benefit the Summer Enrichment Program for Handicapped Children is planned from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at Candlelight Knolls, 2619 Hoagland-Blackstub Road, Warren. About 200 auction items will be featured including crafts, gift certificates, gift baskets and a television.
BINGO/CARD PARTIES
XSt. Stephen of Hungary Altar and Rosary Society will sponsor a bingo and card party at 2 p.m. Sept. 23 at the church social hall, 854 Wilson Ave., Youngstown. Cost is $3, and a light lunch will be served. There also will be door prizes. Tickets can be purchased at the door, and there will be a special 50/50 drawing.
CRAFT SHOWS
XGreater Girard Area Chamber of Commerce will sponsor its annual craft show from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sept. 29 along Liberty Street, between State and Market streets. Qualified crafters interested in participating in the event should contact the chamber office at (330) 545-8616 for registration information. Church groups and social organizations are welcome to participate.
XSt. Anne's Acolyte Society will have a craft show from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 6 at St. Anne's Social Hall, 4310 Kirk Road, Austintown. Tables are available for the event that will feature handcrafted items. For information call (330) 792-3252. Ethnic foods and refreshments will be available. Admission is free.
GOLF OUTINGS
XSts. Mary and Joseph School in Newton Falls will sponsor a golf outing Sept. 23 at Lakeside Golf Course in Lake Milton. Tee times for the four-person scramble will begin at 9 a.m. Tickets are $50 per person and include 18 holes of golf, cart, lunch, dinner and prizes. Cash prizes will be awarded to first- and second-place teams with other prizes awarded for various hole contests. Entries must be pre-paid. SALES
XCrossing Paths, 670 Dutch Lane, Hermitage, Pa., will sponsor its annual fall garage sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday through Saturday. Donations of merchandise are being accepted. Call (724) 981-7777. Funds will benefit the broadcast ministry.
XSouthington United Methodist Church, Route 305, will hold a rummage and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday. Homemade soup, sandwiches and desserts will be available. Bag day will be from 9 to 11 a.m. Thursday.
XThe youth department of Youngstown Baptist Church, 554 S. Meridian Road, Austintown, will hold a yard sale from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday. The group also will be having a car wash and bake sale during the event. Snacks will be available.
SPECIAL EVENTS
XThe Columbiana Public Library, 332 N. Middle St., will hold its third annual antiques and collectibles road show from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday. Local antique dealers with various specialties will be available to provide information and appraisals on items brought in by visitors. Reference materials on collecting will be available for use and door prizes will be awarded.
TEAS
XGatekeepers usher ministry of Holy Trinity Missionary Baptist Church, 505 Parkcliffe Ave., Youngstown, will hold its annual Bumble Bee tea and style show at 4 p.m. Sept. 22. Tickets are $8. For information contact the church office at (330) 782-8929.
