MY FAVORITE MEMORY By Dave Turgeon

We asked Scrappers manager Dave Turgeon to recall part of the 2001 season that he'll remember most:
"Our only walk-off hit was a [Chad] Peshke two-run double with two outs in the bottom of the ninth on the road at Auburn. Because we had to continue a game we played here [in Niles] that got rained out, we were the home team on the road. I went out to coach third. We got a couple of hits to bring up Peshke with two outs. Peshke lines the ball over the left fielder's head. I send the runners and they both score, and Peshke goes into second base. The only two people who didn't know it was the bottom of the ninth were Peshke and me. We were thinking about the next play. Meanwhile, the whole team was celebrating, and we go, 'Oh yeah, bottom of the ninth.' "
