LISBON -- A 46-year-old Wellsville man is being held on $100,000 bond in Columbiana County Jail on 53 obscenity charges involving three girls under 13.
Assistant Prosecutor Tim McNicol said Robert Gregg Jr. is charged with engaging in sexual conduct with a girl known to him. McNicol said 23 of the charges are related to pornographic photos of the girl.
The remaining charges accuse Gregg of taking pornographic photos of two other girls under 13 and downloading child pornography from the Internet.
Gregg is to appear in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on Sept. 20, McNicol said.
He said the other two girls are known to Gregg, and there are no sexual conduct charges in those cases.
Another case: McNicol said a Calcutta doctor turned himself in Tuesday at the Columbiana County Sheriff's Department after being secretly indicted on a sexual battery charge against a female patient.
He said Anil K. Bajaj, 38, of Lakeview Drive, was released on $25,000 bond and surrendered his passport. Bajaj is originally from India, McNicol said.
He said the patient, a 21-year-old Wellsville woman, went to Bajaj, her family doctor, on July 27 for a foot ailment.
McNicol said St. Clair Township police were called to the parking lot where they found the woman crying. She told police that during her examination Bajaj kissed her and fondled her.
