XChampion Parents Advisory will meet at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday at the high school media center.
ASSOCIATIONS
XEastern Ohio Pharmacists Association will meet at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday at Lucianno's Restaurant in Austintown. A program titled "Wound Care" will be given by Larry DiDomenico. Refreshments will be provided. All pharmacists and pharmaceutical representatives are welcome.
XWilliam Penn Fraternal Association, Branch 28, is sponsoring a bus trip Sept. 15 to Penn Scenic View Park near Seven Springs, Pa. The bus will leave at 7:30 a.m. from the Red Lobster in Boardman and return at approximately 10:30 p.m. The bus fee is determined by the response. XVFW Triangle Post 2799 Auxiliary will meet at 8 p.m. Sept. 11. A two-year trustee will be elected.
XYoungstown Eagles Auxiliary 213 will have a bake sale from 4 to 8 p.m. Sept. 14 at the club on South Avenue. Members are asked to donate baked goods.

XSouthington Athletic Boosters will meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday in the high school library.
CLUBS
XBoardman-Poland Junior Women's League will hold a picnic meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the Georgeanna Parker Activity Center in Boardman Township Park. Members should take school supplies to be donated to a local school. A representative of Project LOVE (Loving Our Valley's Elderly) will speak. The membership committee will hold its annual new membership open house for the 2001-02 club year at 7 p.m. Sept. 27 at Glenellen community room, 9661 Market St., North Lima. Membership is open to women 18 years and older who live in Mahoning County. For reservations, which must be received by Sept. 17, send a request to Membership chairman, BPJWL, P.O. XYoungstown South Christian Women's Club will hold a "Country Fair" luncheon from noon to 1:45 p.m. Sept. 13 at Antone's Banquet Centre, Boardman. Crafts will be auctioned by Marty Kowalewski. LEAGUES
XThe Junior League of Youngstown will hold a general meeting Sept. 11 at the Ursuline Motherhouse auditorium, 4520 Shields Road. A social time will be held at 6:45 p.m., and the meeting will begin at 7. Speakers will be WFMJ's Bob Black and sustainer Patricia Helm.
XThe League of Women Voters of Trumbull County will meet at 12:30 p.m. Sept. 14 at Panera's Restaurant, Elm Road. Visitors are welcome.
LIBRARY FRIENDS
XFriends of the Boardman Library will hold its monthly meeting at Sept. 10 at the library. A social hour will be held at 9:30 a.m., followed by the meeting at 10. Guest speaker will be Nan Johnston, who will discuss former first lady Eleanor Roosevelt. Guests are welcome. No reservations are required.
RELIGIOUS GROUPS
XThe Catholic Women's Club of St. Rose Church, Girard, will hold its opening meeting at 7:30 p.m. Sept. 10 at the parish house dining room. Guest night will be observed and new members are welcome.
XCongregation Rodef Sholom Sisterhood will hold its opening luncheon Oct. 16. After a gourmet meal an autumn fashion show will feature members Harriet Cohen, Suzyn Schwebel-Epstein, Gloria Rosenblum, Esther Sacolick, Jan Strasfield, Sue Weiss and Phyllis Wilkoff as models. There also will be a raffle and door prizes. Admission is $6.50. XDiocesan Ladies of Charity will meet Sept. 10 at St. Edward Church hall after the 12:10 Mass at the church.
XThe four Seton clubs will hold a joint meeting Sept. 9 at the Ursuline Motherhouse. Mass at 10 a.m. will be followed by lunch. Junior Seton members will serve as hostesses with Ann George, chairman, assisted by Mary Gordon.

XMahoning Chapter, Ohio Society, Daughters of American Revolution, will meet at noon Sept. 11 at Poland United Methodist Church with Joanne Collier presiding. Dan Slagle, executive director of Boardman Township Park, will speak on conservation. Blanche Hillman will give the president general's report and Isabel Wymer, the national defense report. Constitution Week will be observed Sept. 17-23.
XMahoning Valley Archaeological Society will hold the area's first state meeting from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 9 at Churchill Park, Liberty. Applications for membership will be accepted. Prehistoric artifacts will be on display, and the show is free and open to the public.
