Model railroad display
AUSTINTOWN -- Youngstown Model Railroad Association, which features one of Ohio's largest model railroad displays, will conduct its annual open house Saturday and Sunday and Nov. 10 and 11 in its headquarters at Raccoon and Four Mile Run roads. The hours will be 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 10 and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday and Nov. 11. A $2 donation is requested per person, with children under 12 admitted free with an adult. A scenery workshop will be presented at 6:30 p.m. Saturday and Nov. 10. Two complete O gauge displays and a smaller HO gauge display will be running. A steel mill and its associated track are under construction in a major renovation of the HO layout, giving visitors a chance to see how a model railroad is built.
