GUYLA SCOTTTHOMAS SVIRBLY
GIRARD -- St. Rose Church was the setting Sept. 29 for the wedding of Guyla Scott and Thomas Svirbly, both of 20 Ardmore Court, Niles.
The Rev. Charles Poore presided at the 2 p.m. ceremony for the daughter of Edwin Scott, 4986 Pin Oak Drive, Vienna, and the late Geraldine Hrusovski Scott, and the son of Rilla Svirbly, 1099 George St. Extension, Sharon, Pa., and the late John Svirbly.
The couple were honored afterward during a reception at Tiffany's Banquet Center in Brookfield.
They live at the Ardmore Court address.
The bride's gown was detailed with lace appliques and featured long sleeves, a Queen Anne neckline and a cathedral train.
A platinum gown was worn by Shaun Robertson, the honor attendant. Gowned in valentine red were the bridesmaids, Helen Scott, Sandi Stocky, Dawn Schwartz, Angela Hassay, Sandy Balogh and Jodie Menough. Flower girl was Taylor Winebold.
The duties of best man were performed by Michael Hilko, and groomsmen were Bob Hrusovsky, Danny Svirbly, John Svirbly, Mark Svirbly, Glenn Balogh and Josh Chiodo. Ring bearer was Teddy Svirbly.
The bride attended Youngstown State University and is employed at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Youngstown.
The groom, an information analyst with Electronic Data Systems in Warren, graduated from YSU with a degree in mathematics and computer science.
