GROVE CITY, PA. GCC to mark 125 years

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- Thousands of Grove City College alumni will converge on campus this weekend to celebrate their alma mater's 125th anniversary.
Homecoming events will begin at 7:30 p.m. Friday with the Jack Kennedy Memorial Alumni Achievement Awards and Alumni Distinguished Service Award presentations in Harbison Chapel.
To be honored: Edward Breen, newly designated head of Motorola Inc. and recently elected Grove City College trustee; and David Rathburn, president of Hopeman Brothers Marine Division of AWH Corp. in Waynesboro, Va., and also a Grove City trustee, will receive the Alumni Achievement awards.
Richard Jewell, one of the driving forces in this year's celebration of the college's 125th anniversary, will get the Distinguished Service Award. He is also a college trustee and is vice president/director of Peterson Consulting in Pittsburgh.
Other weekend highlights:
U 10 a.m. Saturday: Women's alumni soccer game on the upper field.
U 10:30 a.m. Saturday: Men' s alumni soccer game on the varsity field.
U 11 a.m. Saturday: Homecoming parade.
U 2 p.m. Saturday: Grove City Wolverines vs. Waynesburg Yellow Jackets football game.
U 10:30 a.m. Sunday: Worship service in Harbison Chapel.
