YOUNGSTOWN -- St. Christine Church was the setting at 2 p.m. Sept. 1 for the wedding of Melanie Ann Czopur, daughter of Atty. and Mrs. Edward Czopur, 440 Greenmont Drive, Canfield, and David Robert Gaffney, son of Mary Lou Gaffney of 404 E. Wood St., Lowellville, and Robert Gaffney, 3420 Flo-Lor Drive, Youngstown.
A reception followed at Mr. Anthony's in Boardman, and the couple spent their honeymoon in Hawaii. They are living at 3798 Indian Run in Canfield.
The bride wore a white peau de soie gown designed with a high neckline trimmed with beaded Battenberg lace. The full skirt featured a detachable semi-cathedral train.
Crimson gowns were worn by the maid of honor, Melanie Ginnis, and bridesmaids, Lisa D'Amico, Candace Madick, Rhonda Bowser, Sheri Colossimo, Rhonda Hirschl-Mike and Melissa Porter.
Michael Storti performed the duties of best man, and groomsmen were Ed Czopur, the bride's brother; Sean Gaffney, the groom's brother; Brian Wess, the groom's cousin; Earl Ross; David Rotz; and Chuck Gasior.
Mrs. Gaffney graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in applied science. She earned a juris doctorate degree from the University of Akron School of Law and is a law clerk at the Seventh District Court of Appeals.
Her husband graduated from ETI Technical College in Niles and is a heating, ventilating and air conditioning technician with E.H. Duncan in Poland.
