YSU president to speakat Navy League meeting
NILES -- Dr. David Sweet, president of Youngstown State University, will be the main speaker at the Navy League Western Reserve Council meeting Oct. 16 at Alberini's Restaurant. A social hour will be at 6 p.m. and dinner at 7 p.m. The cost is $21 per person and reservations are required. Checks made payable to the WRC Navy League must be sent by Wednesday to Terry L. Halloween events
NEW MIDDLETOWN -- The Beight Farm at 114901/2 Youngstown-Pittsburgh Road is operating its annual Forest of Fear from 7:30-11:30 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays through Oct. 27. Cost is $7 for Halloween attractions including the Forest of Fear, hay maze and crazed corn maze.
Parents may take children 4-12 through the crazed corn maze from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 27 only for a cost of $4 per person. The Beight Farm is a nonprofit organization for youth from Mahoning, Trumbull and Columbiana counties.
