Medical supply company moves to new location

YOUNGSTOWN -- The parent company of St. Elizabeth Medical Center has given its medical supply company a new home.
HM Home Medical Equipment moved out of the hospital a month ago to 1753 Belmont Ave., which serves as a retail showroom and distribution center.
The company is part of Humility of Mary Health Partners.
Chris McCarty, an HM spokesman, said the medical supply company was started about two years ago as part of HM's expansion efforts. Before that, HM had a smaller operation that provided equipment only to its own patients.
The business has expanded greatly in the past two years, and the new showroom will provide for more growth opportunities, because HM Home Medical Equipment will be more accessible to the general public, he said. About 12 people work at that location.
It offers wheelchairs, walkers, beds, diabetic supplies and other medical supplies.
