Annual event planned at the Butler

Free fine art appraisals will highlight the show.
YOUNGSTOWN -- The Butler Institute of American Art will hold its 31st annual fine art and craft show sale, "An American Holiday," Nov. 30 through Dec. 2 at the museum, 524 Wick Ave.
Works of over 90 artisans will be on display, including jewelry, furniture, stuffed animals, and metal, glass and fiber art.
The event will begin with a members preview from 7 to 10 p.m. Nov. 30. Cost is $20 for members and $25 for guests of members. The preview also will feature a cash bar and hors d'oeuvres. Reservations are necessary by Friday and can be made by calling (330) 743-1711, ext. 117.
New members and members attending the preview will receive a free poster reproduction of a work from the museum's collection.
For the public: The craft show will be open to the public from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 1 and from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Dec. 2. Admission is $3 per person with those under 12 admitted free. Free parking also will be available in the Youngstown State University M-1 parking deck across from the institute.
As special service of the event, there will be free fine art appraisals from 1 to 4 p.m. both days by E-Wolfe's and The Bonfoey Co. of Cleveland.
