TRUMBULL COUNTY Man indicted on charges related to rape in Warren

If convicted of the charges, the defendant faces up to 48 years in prison.
WARREN -- A Trumbull County grand jury has indicted a 20-year-old Niles man in last week's rape of a city woman.
Anthony Vogle, of Maple Street, was indicted on felony counts of rape, kidnapping, aggravated burglary, aggravated robbery and felonious assault.
Vogle, who is being held in the county jail in lieu of $150,000 bond, is scheduled to be arraigned on the charges Monday, said Atty. Sarah Kovoor, an assistant county prosecutor.
If convicted of the charges, Vogle faces up to 48 years in prison, Kovoor said.
The crime: Warren police said Vogle, who is alleged to have been carrying a knife, and a 17-year-old Howland Township youth forced their way into the woman's South Project home around 3 a.m. May 21. Police noted once Vogle and the juvenile got inside, they sexually assaulted the woman and then stole items from the home.
Kovoor and police declined to say what Vogle and the boy are accused of taking from the woman's home.
Police said the woman did not know her attackers.
Police declined to name the juvenile but said he is facing charges of delinquency by way of aggravated robbery, aggravated burglary and rape. Sean O'Brien, an assistant county prosecutor, said the juvenile will be arraigned later this week.
O'Brien added that prosecutors want the juvenile to be tried as an adult.
He said a hearing will be scheduled next week to determine if the juvenile should be bound over to Trumbull County Common Pleas Court.
