YOUNGSTOWN -- The 100th anniversary of the Youngstown Saxon Club was celebrated during a banquet held May 26 at the club, 710 S. Meridian Road.
David P. Bokesch of Youngstown, president of the Alliance of Transylvania Saxons, was the principal speaker. A guest speaker was Jon Heacock, head football coach at Youngstown State University.
Entertainment included performances by the club's brass band, the children's dance group and the Concordia Mixed Chorus.
