The engagement of Tonya L. Johnson of Warren and Stephen Todd Gilliam of Columbus is announced by the bride-elect's parents, Lizzirene Prince of Warren and Wilbert Johnson Jr. of Liberty.
The future groom is a son of Evelyn Gilliam of Steubenville and the late Henry Gilliam.
Miss Johnson graduated from Kent State University with bachelor's degrees in nursing and psychology. She is a senior sales representative for the Youngstown-Warren area with Eli Lilly Pharmaceutical Co. of Indianapolis.
Mr. Gilliam earned a bachelor's degree in business administration at Bowling Green State University. He is a programming analyst with Safelite Glass Corp. in Columbus.
Invitations will be issued for the couple's wedding to take place at 4 p.m. Aug. 25 at Second Baptist Church in Warren. A reception, also by invitation, is planned at Tiffany's in Brookfield.
