AUCTIONS
XAmerican Legion Auxiliary Lake Unit 737, 16465 Milton Ave., Lake Milton, will hold an auction and flea market from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday. Proceeds will go toward auxiliary programs.
XNew Waterford United Methodist Church will conduct an auction at 10 a.m. Saturday at the former Crestview Elementary School building, South State Street, New Waterford. Food also will be available. Proceeds will benefit the church building fund.
CARD PARTIES
XA card party will be held May 17 at St. Mark's Orthodox Church, 3560 Logan Way, Liberty, where doors open at 5 p.m. Ethnic pastries will be available and trash and treasure items will be sold. The donation is $4 and there will be many door prizes For more information call (330) 270-9820.
CRAFT SHOWS
XA craft show will be sponsored by the Trumbull County Historical Village Association July 10 through July 15 at the carriage shed beside the old Bazetta Christian Church in the Trumbull County Fairgrounds in conjunction with the Trumbull County Fair. Crafters have until June 1 to reserve a 16x10 foot space, costing $135 a week. They will be asked to show colonial crafts and to demonstrate their craftmaking process. Anyone interested in participating and wishing additional information can send a self-addressed stamped envelope to the association at P. O. Box 46, Fowler, Ohio 44418.
GOLF OUTINGS
XShepherd's Foundation will sponsor its 11th annual Shepherd's Scramble golf outing June 2 at Avalon South Golf Course in Howland. The $65 fee will include 18 holes of golf, cart, continental breakfast, lunch, dinner and prizes, including a new car for a hole in one. Guest speaker will be Matt Cavanaugh of the Baltimore Ravens. QUILT SHOWS
XUnited Quilt Guild will sponsor a "Sew United" quilt show and competition from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 23 and 24 at Kent State University, Salem Branch, state Route 45, Salem. The public is invited to submit entries and cash prizes and ribbons will be awarded. An quilt exhibit , speaker and Chinese auction will be part of the event. SALES
XBrownlee Woods Presbyterian Church, Midlothian Boulevard at Irma Avenue, will have a rummage sale from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. May 15 and 16.
XClarks Mills United Methodist Church, Route 358, Clarks Mills, Pa., will hold a rummage, lunch and bake sale from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Friday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. Saturday will be $1 per bag day. Proceeds will benefit the Kids to Camp fund and Children's Ministry.
XMontessori School of the Mahoning Valley will hold its fifth annual herb sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the school, 2008 Lynn Ave., Youngstown. A program on "Sage: Herb of the Year" will be presented at 11 a.m. by Anne Sole. There also will be a bake sale and Chinese auction.
XSt. Joseph School PTO will sponsor a trash and treasure sale June 7 -9 at the school, 760 E. State St., Sharon, Pa. Hours are 1 to 5 p.m. June 7 and 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. June 8 and 9. Items to be donated should be taken to the school after 3 p.m. June 5 and after 9 a.m. June 6. Use the side doors at the gymnasium.
