RANCHO MIRAGE, Calif. -- Mr. and Mrs. Sam Pompeo, 8 Padron Way, formerly of the Youngstown area, were honored at a dinner dance reception May 5 at The Oak View in Struthers on the occasion of their 45th wedding anniversary.
The couple also renewed their vows in observance of the event.
Hosts for the festivities were the couple's children, Lorraine Tourville of Albuquerque, N.M.; Samuel Pompeo of Calabasas, Calif.; and Kenneth Pompeo of Northridge, Calif. Three grandchildren complete the family.
Mr. Pompeo and the former Frances Ambrosia were married May 5, 1956, at St. Nicholas Church in Struthers. They are members of Sacred Heart Church in Palm Desert, Calif.
He retired in 1997 from AT & amp;T in Hollywood, Calif., where he was a field technician. He is a member of the Moose Lodge of Glendale, Calif., and the Rancho Las Palmas Men's Golf Association. He also served in the military.
His wife retired in 1998 from Deluxe Check Printers Inc. in Chatsworth, Calif., where she was a plant trainer. She belongs to the Rancho Las Palmas Women's Golf Association.
