BERNARD SPRAGNER SR., 75



YOUNGSTOWN -- Services will be at 1 p.m. Monday at Mason Funeral Home for Bernard Spragner Sr., 75, of 1202 Aberdeen Ave., who died early Friday at home.
Mr. Spragner was born Dec. 31, 1925, in Catherine, Ala., a son of Mosco and Margaret Watkins Spragner, coming to this area in 1998 from Cleveland. He was a mail handler for the U.S. Postal Service in Cleveland for more than 20 years, retiring in 1992.
He was a member of the Youngstown Deaf Club.
His wife, the former Thelma M. Haynes, whom he married June 10, 1957, died Aug. 24, 1998.
He leaves three sons, Bernard Jr. and Vance, both of Detroit, and Joseph V. of Cleveland; two daughters, Linda Spragner of Detroit and Florida-Toni Crump, with whom he made his home; a brother, Cleophus Spragner of Cleveland; and six grandchildren.
A sister, Jessie M. Cunningham, is deceased.
Friends may call for one hour before services at the funeral home.
