WARREN YWCA announces guest speakers for 2001-02 Celebrity Series



Tickets for the series are $45 until June 1 and will be $50 after that date.
WARREN -- NBC "Today Show" weather man Al Roker will kick off the YWCA of Warren's 24th Annual Celebrity Series 2001-2002.
Roker, an American Meteorological Seal of Approval recipient and seven-time Emmy Award winner, will speak at 10:30 a.m. Sept. 19 in W.D. Packard Music Hall, 1703 Mahoning Ave. He'll talk about network television and share personal stories from his family.
Loretta Paganini, founder and director of the Loretta Paganini School of Cooking in Chesterland, will speak Nov. 7 as part of the series. Gale Riley, scheduled to speak March 13, 2002, is a registered nurse and humorist. Her lecture, "Life is Not a Dress Rehearsal," demonstrates how to live without adding stress by making intelligent decisions about health and well being.
Richard Arbiter was the court correspondent to Buckingham Palace from 1980 to 1988. He has interviewed members of the Royal Family, world leaders and international celebrities. His lecture, "Past, Present and Future of the British Monarchy," is scheduled for April 10, 2002.
Tickets: Season tickets for the series are $45 until June 1 and $50 after June 1. Early subscribers will receive a free ticket to the Helen Thomas lecture April 18. Tickets for Thomas's lecture may be picked up at the door the day of the lecture. New subscriptions must be postmarked by April 13.
