Sharon, Hermitage cops report thefts

SHARON, Pa. -- Police in Sharon and Hermitage reported burglaries and thefts over the weekend.
Two garages were entered in Sharon, one Friday in the 300 block of Harrison Street in which a lock was cut from the door and a chain saw, weed trimmer, fishing equipment and various tools were stolen. The other occurred Thursday in the 900 block of Tenth Street and a lawnmower was taken from the unlocked building.
Hermitage police said someone took a chain saw from an unlocked garage in the 300 block of Crawford Drive late Saturday or early Sunday. Hermitage police also said someone broke a lock to get into a construction trailer on Laurenwood Drive on Friday night and stole $3,000 worth of construction tools.
