The engagement of Christine Marie Paridon and Timothy Wayne Smith is being announced by their parents.
The future bride is a daughter of Kenneth and Patricia Paridon, 2062 Ohltown-McDonald Road, McDonald. Mr. Smith is a son of Connie and Steve Velte, 1755 Arbor Drive, Mineral Ridge, and Tim Smith of Youngstown.
Miss Paridon is a student at Trinity Baptist College in Jacksonville, Fla., studying elementary education and office administration.
Her fiance is a lance corporal with the U.S. Marine Corps stationed at Camp Pendleton, Calif.
The couple's wedding is planned for 12:30 p.m. June 9 at First Baptist Church in McDonald. A reception will take place that evening at the Mahoning Country Club in Girard. Invitations will be extended for both events.
